In this post, I would like to post a few photos of the same event. But don’t think that I was busy in taking the photos only – I have taken out time in between my photo shoot to watch the show and I enjoyed it very much. . . . → Read More: Event Photography – One World, One Voice By Biswajit Dey, on August 17th, 2010% Kumartuli (see wikipedia for more details) is the place in north Kolkata which is famous for the clay-idol making. Around 800+ clay idol makers reside in this place and they all work throughout the year to supply the high demands of clay idols not only to Kolkata and different parts of India but also to different cities abroad through export. I came to know that some people are already out in a procession and they will be back in a minute. So I waited there and had my breakfast. . . . → Read More: Holi (2010) – The Ecstatic Way!!! By Biswajit Dey, on August 3rd, 2010% The Holi of 2010 is really memorable for me! I don’t remember of any Holi occasion when I have not been drenched in colours, but this time it was a different experience altogether – I went out to capture the Holi in the streets of Kolkata. It was planned a few days before the day. I gathered some info from Asis Da and Tumpa about where to go. Finally, I sorted out to capture two different moods of Holi – the first one – Holi in Traditional Way (in this post) and the second one – Holi the Ecstatic Way (in my next post). . . . → Read More: Holi (2010) – The Traditional Way!!! | |
